London Post #31 - Saturday, June 3rd - Opera Choruses, Royal Festival Hall

Today, I went shopping! I wanted to get some gifts for my family, so I went to Primark on Oxford Street. It was super busy, but SUPER CHEAP!!! I got lots of cute baby clothes for my niece, Cameron Jo. I also got some Harry Potter pajamas for my sister with the Marauder's Map on them. And a cute polkadot cardigan for that same sister. And lastly, some skinny ties with the England flag all over them for my brothers. Here is one example of the cuteness that was the super cheap Primark visit:

Then we went to the Royal Festival Hall to see a concert of Opera Choruses. Not my most favorite concert. Here's a picture from our seats in the hall:

After the concert, I walked with Luke, Tyrell, Liza, and Makay to the McDonald's closest to our flats. While walking, we began hearing reports of an attack on London Bridge. Someone had driven a van onto the sidewalk running down pedestrians. There were also stabbings at a nearby restaurant. This happened just a few miles from the bridge where we all walked across from the concert hall back to the tube station! To think, we could have been caught in all the dangerous mayhem. But we were protected that night. It reminded me of the murder-suicide that took place beneath my apartment in Fresno the night before I left for Europe the first time with the FCC City Singers. It's sobering to think of how many times I've been protected from the evils of this world.
